1	Career Counseling Workshops by Nirmaan Organization in association with PepsiCo	2024-03-21 to 2024-03-21	Accompanied by esteemed faculty members Dr. Yamini and Mr. Amit, the students visited PepsiCo’s office in Sector 72, Gurgaon. Mr. Brajit Singh from the Nirmaan Organisation provided assistance throughout the visit. The highlight of the visit was a panel discussion on “Economic Empowerment of Women in India. It is a multifaceted issue that involves increasing women’s access to economic resources and opportunities, including jobs, financial services, property, and other forms of economic assets. It’s about creating an environment where women can make and act on economic decisions. 2	Traditional Art Workshop	2024-03-20 to 2024-03-20	On 20th March, 2024 a “Traditional Art Workshop” was organized by the Department of Management, IGDTUW under the Viksit Bharat @2047 program. The event was an effort to raise awareness among students about the rich cultural heritage of our country and to impart the significance of art form as building blocks of a community. 3	“A Visit to Start-up Mahakum bh,Bharat Mandap am, New Delhi	2024-03-20 to 2024-03-20	Department of Management at IGDTUW encouraged a group of students to attend the Start-up Mahakumbh and Explored numerous startups Focus on women empowerment, innovation, health care, sanitation & more. 4	Career Counseling Workshop by Nirmaan Organisation & PepsiCo	2024-03-19 to 2024-03-19	Ms. Astha Mishra and Mr. Abhishek Srivastava (from MDI GURGAON) led the sessions, focusing on self-discovery techniques to identify personal strengths and interests. The speakers discussed methods like IKIGAI and JOHARI WINDOW MODEL so that students can use them to identify their strengths and weaknesses and discover their Goal. Students actively participated in interactive activities designed to facilitate self-assessment and goal setting, laying the groundwork for their future career paths. The speakers discussed Career Planning Strategies such as developing self-awareness to understand your strengths and interests, seeking feedback to gain insights into your skills and areas for improvement, setting short-term and long-term career goals and conducting research about job markets and industry trends. The session further deliberated on Job readiness skills, including resume and LinkedIn profile building.
5	Webinar - The power of your mindset	2024-02-29 to 2024-02-29	As part of the Viksit Bharat program's wellness series and Rekhi sir's vision to enhance ongoing Science and Practice of Happiness classes through global engagement, the second session, themed around "the power of mindset," was conducted in a hybrid format. 9	Flashmob-EmpowerHer 2024: Women Illuminating the Vision of Viksit Bharat @ 2024	2024-02-20 to 2024-02-20	A unique flashmob event where students brought to life the struggling stories of women who have significantly shaped the trajectory of Bharat since 1947. Through dance, narration and acting, students portrayed the evolution of women’s roles in shaping the nation. From the struggles for independence to the advancement in education, science, politics, defence, navy, air force and various fields, flashmob witnessed the narrative of women who have left an indelible mark on Bharat. 11	Industrial Visits	2024-02-09 to 2024-02-09	Three industrial visits to Yakult Sonepat and Mother Dairy Patparganj are organized for the students of MBA and BBA. The 1st Industrial visit to Yakult India was held on February 09, 2024. The students explored the working and operations of Yakult Factory and learnt the procedure of making Yakult a preferable brand and probiotic drink. The other 2 industrial visits to Mother Dairy Patparganj were held on 19 and 21 February. Such visits allowed students to explore various industries and organizations, from startups to established corporations. At Yakult and Mother Dairy Plants, the representatives interacted with students and traced the history of evolution of Yakult and Mother Dairy products. 12	Movie Screening- The Founder	2024-01-31 to 2024-01-31	As a part of Viksit Bharat @ 2047, Department of Management presented a thought-provoking movie screening of “The Founder,”, a film that delves into the corporate landscape and the lessons it holds for future leaders and managers. The film explores the rise and fall of McDonald’s and the lessons that can be gleaned from its journey. "The Founder," a film that chronicles the fascinating history of McDonald's portrays the challenges, triumphs, and setbacks faced by the company and its founders, providing a valuable backdrop for discussions on leadership, business strategies, and ethical considerations. Department of Management focuses on interactive teaching pedagogy and widening the mental horizons of the students. In line to it, teaching through movie screening offered a wealth of insights relevant for business and engaged the students to analyse the impact of various decisions, leadership, and marketing strategies on the company’s trajectory through students’ led group discussion. 13	Seminar- How to do well in case-study?	2024-01-31 to 2024-01-31	Case study holds immense value for both MBA and BBA students, bridging the gap between theoretical concepts and real-world application. Through case studies, students analyse data, identify issues, and apply theoretical frameworks like marketing, finance, or operations to develop solutions. Department of management always ensures holistic development of the students, making them an active learner who are able to translate concepts into tangible decisions. Therefore, a case study seminar was organized by the Department of Management for the management students. With Republic Day around the corner, the Partition Museum reminds us of our shared history and the struggles that shaped the democratic values we celebrate on this important day. Exploring the museum during this time provided students with a deeper understanding of the sacrifices made during the partition and their impact on the formation of our democratic nation. The museum's central theme revolves around "material memory," represented by items such as an India-Pakistan passport facilitating post-Partition travel and various objects cherished for 75 years. These artifacts form the core of the museum's collection. The stories of reconnecting with beloved homes serve as powerful narratives of reconciliation with the past and the hope for a harmonious future, all beautifully showcased within the museum's walls. 18	Presentation at Faculty Development Program “Nurturing Happiness in Academia”	2024-01-17 to 2024-01-18	Dr. Meha Joshi, HoD Management, IGDTUW presented her research on “Is Phubbing impacting Well-being”, along with Ms. Priyamvada Mathur at the Faculty Development Program “Nurturing Happiness in Academia” organized by Rekhi Centre of Excellence for the Science of Happiness, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, 15th – 17th January, 2024. The three-day FDP provided a platform for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and further exploration through insightful sessions by experts and demonstration of Neuro-research methods used in the field.
